I got rid of 12 bags of stuff!!
15) Clean tub
16) Make it through the week. Hubby is leaving tonight and won't be home til Late Thursday night or maybe early Friday morning. On top of that, I started 2 new child care kids, on of my child care moms is starting a new job so we will have to adjust to that schedule once she knows exactly what's happening, my new kid who is WILD will be going to feeding clinic both times with me this week, we are finally getting new windows in our other house, and a total of 7 Dr's appointments this week! Yup... I should have put make it through the week as my #1 :) But God is good and he will help me through this stressful week.
We ended up having a GREAT week with the kids and all.

Jimmy was gone this week for 3 days and it was REALLY rough for me. I always end up getting super depressed and doing tons of nothing. Having my kiddos around helped but it was super depressing during their down times. But now the hubby is back home!! And we spent some much needed time together yesterday.

Weekly Goals

Before I post my goals for this week, I would like to post a prayer request for my son Joel. He has had many struggles since birth including but not limited to : He was born with a hole in his belly wall and his stomach and intestines were born on the outside of his body, they were put back inside and he was stitched up. After exhausting our other options we now have a G-tube for a feeding tube so he can eat through a tube surgically placed in his belly. They thought this was going to solve our poor weight gain problem but after 3 weeks of having his G-tube he is Losing Weight!! This is not the direction we were looking to go. He was put on a new feeding plan today to increase his calories and volume of milk. We go back in 2 weeks to check the progress.

Please pray for weight gain for Joel!

Last weeks goals:

1) Fold ALL laundry
Done! All of it!
2) Make fire and tornado drill sheets
3) Do fire and tornado drill
4) Buy a high chair for Joel
Although we didn't buy one, my mom did give us one.
5) Limit computer time to 2 hours per day. This will include and facebook, coupon sites, and any child care paperwork. Find a reliable way to track this.
Although I honestly don't know how I did on this, I did find a good tracker. I am taking Advice from Laura Vanderkam's book 168 hour, you have more time than you think. I am writing down what I am doing every 6 min. Trying to figure out what I do all day!
6) vacuum all rooms
All rooms done!
7) box and move 4 boxes downstairs. We are getting our carpets cleaned in a few weeks so I need to start de-cluttering for that.
I realized that I didn't have 4 boxes to put things in! So I got about 12 bags of good will stuff bagged up that and that free's up my boxes. So although I didn't get them boxed up I did do another great thing to my house in the process :)
8) Fill up fish tank. Only for my own personal sanity! That thing is getting so loud!!
I am a much happier woman now :)
9) cut and USE grocery coupons (I am classic for watching all the sites, getting coupons ready, then not going to the store to actually use them in time!)
Done
10) Finish reading 168 hours You have more time than you think
Still working on this. On Sunday my husband surprised me with wanting to get our other house's leaves raked up. Which I gladly accepted! So we spent 5 hours doing that. I did bring along my book though, and I read my book on the trips to drop of the leaves. I count that as a plus.
11) Continue reading The eager reader bible with Caleb
12)Put in 10 coke caps for coke rewards. I have got  a small box of these.
13) Make phone calls : Caleb's dentist reimbursement, make Caleb dentist appointment, schedule carpeting, 401K with bank, carpet cleaning, urology, call for Depo shot refill
14) return shirt that didn't fit to Forever 21

Weekly Goals

Let's see how I did on my Goals for last week :

1) Fold ALL laundry
Got all the hang up clothes done. But didn't finish up what was left on the floor. This week!!!
2) Make fire and tornado drill sheets
3) Do fire and tornado drill
4) Get Camera cleaned (Joels pump and bag broke and his milk soaked our camera!)
Went in to get it cleaned like my husband told me I had to and the guy said we were better off just using it til it died. Cleaning would mean replacing parts. It would cost us more to clean our than to buy a brand new one!
5) Limit computer time to 2 hours per day. This will include and facebook, coupon sites, and any child care paperwork.
Since we were in the hospital 3 full days this week, this was an easy one to do. Not being home sure does help :)
6) cook chicken. This is from the 20 lbs I got on Saturday
7) dice 1/2 chicken shred 1/2 chicken
8) vacuum all rooms
9) cut and USE grocery coupons (I am classic for watching all the sites, getting coupons ready, then not going to the store to actually use them in time!)
I am crossing this one off because I really did try this one. I only cut out 1 kind of coupon. It was for the snap wear. I went to the paper truck and got a ton of them! However, our stores are all out of them. Boo!
10) Finish reading 168 hours You have more time than you think
11) Continue reading The eager reader bible with Caleb
12)Put in 10 coke caps for coke rewards. I have got  a small box of these.
13) Make phone calls : Caleb's dentist reimbursement, make Caleb dentist appointment, schedule carpeting, food program for Caleb and Joel, 401K with bank
14) Cut up broccoli from farmers market. I got 7lbs of broccoli because my coins were about to expire.
I went to do this on Monday afternoon and they were already bad! I was super bummed!
15) Cook pumpkins from farmers market. I also got 5 large pie pumpkins :)
16) Send in End of month forms for Food Program
17) Have a blast trick or treating!!
We really did have a blast! Caleb got a trick or treat bag for Joel. It was super sweet. He made sure that Joel had candy too. Not because he wanted to have extra but because he really is a loving brother.

Another 9.5 out of 17. We had a super busy week. Joel ended up going to an extra specialist on Friday. Then we had an ER visit on Saturday that turned into a weekend stay. Joel got his G-tube last week Thursday (11 days ago) and it got infected! So we went to the specialist on Friday, they gave us some antibiotics but it didn't look better by Saturday so we called and because their office isn't open on Saturdays the surgeon met us at ER. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday were full of Hospital (Caleb surgery on Friday, Joel ER Saturday, and stay Sunday). Wednesday was court all morning, then a few Dr's appointments in the afternoon. So our week was cut short.

Recipe : Creamy Chicken Rice Soup

What you need :

3/4 cups of onions
2 cups of carrots
1 cup of celery
1 cup of chicken
1 teaspoon garlic
32 oz broth
3/4 cup uncooked rice
a few dashes of basil and oregano
2 tablespoons flour
15 oz of evaporated milk

Step 1 :
Grab your soup making pot and put in the onion, celery, garlic and carrots to saute until they are tender.

Step 2 :
Stir in the broth, rice, chicken, basil and oregano. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to a simmer and cover for 15 minutes.

Step 3 :
After about 8 min of simmering, I realized I didn't have enough liquid so I added my evaporated milk and flour.

Step 4 :
Bring it back to a boil and simmer for another 10 min.

I got the original recipe from Taste Of Home website and modified it to my likings. : )

The verdict:

We like it! I would add some salt for sure. And if you know me, you know I don't add salt to much. Even if the recipe calls for it. Caleb and Zaccheus (my son and day care kiddo) ate every bit I gave them and then asked for seconds so please consider this a kid friendly recipe. We like our foods small so everything was diced. We also like our soups a little thick so adjust your time accordingly.
